Vascular Neurology (Stroke) Faculty - Coastal Charleston, SC

Our organization is seeking fellowship-trained Vascular Neurologists for both inpatient and outpatient positions to enhance our distinguished Comprehensive Stroke Program. We offer roles in hospital-based stroke care as well as outpatient clinic settings, with opportunities customized to align with the physician's interests and expertise. Candidates must be board eligible or board certified in general neurology and have completed ACGME fellowship training in Vascular Neurology.

We operate one of the most active stroke programs in the Southeast and serve as the tertiary referral center for significant artery strokes across the state. Our organization is a key player in the South Carolina Telestroke Alliance, providing acute stroke care to over 35 hospitals in South Carolina and admitting more than 1,200 stroke patients each year. Additionally, we boast a strong clinical research initiative and are recognized nationally for our investigator-initiated research and clinical trials, including our role as a regional coordinating center in the NIH-funded StrokeNet.

The selected candidate will hold the position of Assistant Professor (or higher, depending on experience) on the Clinician Educator Track. Responsibilities will include engaging in clinical activities within our Stroke Program. We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment, and experience in teaching vascular neurology fellows, house staff, and medical students, as well as involvement in clinical trials.
