Physician - Gastrointestinal (GI) Medical Oncology - Loyola University Chicago

Position Overview

The Hematology and Oncology Division at our organization is actively seeking a fellowship-trained, Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Oncologist to join our Gastrointestinal (GI) Medical Oncology Program at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

Position Highlights

The ideal candidate will possess specialized training and a robust clinical interest in managing adult gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary cancers. A proven dedication to clinical and/or translational research in these areas is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver both inpatient and outpatient oncology services at our medical center.
• Engage in weekly multidisciplinary GI oncology clinics, collaborating with colleagues from surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, and radiology.
• Initiate and conduct clinical and/or translational research focused on gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary malignancies.
• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care, research projects, and program development.
• Provide education and mentorship to hematology/oncology fellows, internal medicine residents, and medical students.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Completion of a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology.
• Clinical proficiency in gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary cancers.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for clinical and/or translational research.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including:

• Starting salary ranging from $280,000 to $475,000, based on academic rank and experience.
