Prestige Staffing is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technician (Radiologic Technologist) for a direct hire role in Atlanta, GA near Northside Hospital main campus. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic imaging while delivering excellent patient care. This role supports providers and teammates by ensuring patients get roomed quickly and providing backup with vitals and demographics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and specialized X-ray exams according to provider orders and established protocols
  • Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and position patients correctly to obtain optimal images
  • Follow radiation safety and ALARA standards; provide appropriate shielding and safety education
  • Operate and maintain radiology equipment; complete daily/weekly QC checks as required
  • Ensure images are properly labeled and sent to PACS/RIS/EMR; document procedures accurately
  • Recognize imaging artifacts/quality issues and repeat images when clinically necessary
  • Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and follow infection-control/cleaning standards
  • Communicate findings/concerns appropriately to providers and radiologists (within scope)
  • Support patient flow by coordinating with front desk, nursing/MA staff, and clinicians
  • Comply with HIPAA, facility policies, and all applicable state/federal regulations
  • Help when not doing x-rays with patient flow, getting vitals, demographics entered into the Epic system

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of recent X-ray experience (urgent care/outpatient preferred)
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Epic experience is strongly preferred
  • ARRT (R) certification (or eligibility with ability to obtain within a specified timeframe)
  • Current state license (if required in your state)
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Strong knowledge of positioning, anatomy, radiation physics/safety, and image quality standards
  • Excellent patient-service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Internal medicine, urgent care, family practice or primary care preferred
  • Experience with digital radiography (DR) and PACS
  • Spanish / bilingual skills a plus

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and assist with patient transfers/positioning
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with assistance as needed)
  • Comfortable working around medical equipment and adhering to PPE/infection-control procedures
