Ōnin Staffing is hiring a Powder Coater for Insight Lighting in the Rio Rancho area. This is a full-time opportunity for someone who is dependable, hands-on, and eager to learn powder coating operations and equipment maintenance. No prior experience is required, and training will be provided.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform powder coating operations under the guidance of a trainer or supervisor.
  • Prepare materials for coating, including substrate preparation, masking, hanging, coating, inspecting, and packing parts.
  • Use hand tools and powder coating equipment safely and properly.
  • Work closely with the trainer to inspect coated parts and receive feedback for improvement.
  • Assist with routine maintenance of powder coating equipment.
  • Report equipment issues or problem areas to the Trainer or Supervisor.
  • Move parts before and after painting using a pallet jack and/or forklift, if authorized and trained.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE, including coveralls and respirators.

Skills and Experience:

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No prior powder coating experience required. Training will be provided.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment, tools, and coating processes.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a production environment.
  • Familiarity with production, masking, hanging, quality control, or coating processes is a plus.
  • Ability to perform routine operator maintenance on equipment.
  • Understanding of safety requirements, including SDS and TDS information, is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift at least 55 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform frequent lifting, bending, and turning.
  • Must be able to pass required physical exams to wear a respirator.
