School Occupational Therapist - San Mateo, California

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students’ growth and development in a school-based setting! We're seeking a contract Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide critical services across 2-3 school sites, working with a diverse K-12 population. With a balanced caseload of approximately 35-40 students, you’ll make a meaningful impact throughout the school year. The assignment is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, beginning August 10, 2026 and continuing through June 4, 2027.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Occupational Therapist license in California
• Previous experience with school-based OT strongly preferred
• Proficiency in IEP documentation and meetings, ideally using Siras and/or AbleSpace systems
• Ability to effectively serve students from kindergarten through 12th grade
• Skilled at collaborating with educators, multidisciplinary teams, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students with a range of abilities and needs
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans consistent with IEP goals
• Facilitate adaptive strategies to support academic success, functional independence, and participation in school activities
• Maintain accurate records and progress notes in alignment with school protocols and timelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and progress updates to teams and families
• Travel between assigned school sites to deliver services as scheduled
