Our organization is on the lookout for a fellowship-trained Orthopedic or Plastic Hand Surgeon to enhance our expanding team in the picturesque city of Lakeland, Florida. As a member of one of Florida's largest independent healthcare systems, you will be part of a collaborative, patient-focused environment dedicated to clinical excellence, innovation, and robust physician support.

Position Overview

We are seeking a fellowship-trained Hand Surgeon to contribute to the growth of our comprehensive regional hand surgery program. The ideal candidate will:

  • Possess fellowship training in Hand Surgery, with Upper Extremity fellowship training being highly desirable.
  • Deliver thorough outpatient and inpatient hand surgery services.
  • Play a pivotal role in developing the region's sole dedicated hand surgery program, catering to a multicounty referral base of around one million individuals at a Level I Trauma Center.
Position Highlights
  • Join a large employed physician group comprising over 400 providers across more than 40 specialties.
  • Benefit from an extensive referral network through primary care, neurology, rheumatology, and community physicians associated with our organization.
  • Collaborate with an established team of two Orthopedic Hand Surgeons and two Plastic Hand Surgeons.
  • Work in an outpatient clinic equipped with on-site hand therapy, radiology, and ultrasound services.
  • Participate in shared hand surgery call at a single Level I Trauma Center, focusing solely on hand surgery—no general orthopedic trauma call is required.
  • Have the opportunity to perform surgeries in an ambulatory surgery center (ASC).

Qualifications
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible through ABMS or AOA
  • Completion of an accredited Hand Surgery fellowship, with experience at a Level I Trauma Center preferred.
