Tractor Technician

The Tractor Technician is responsible for performing intermediate-level maintenance, service and repair of J.B. Hunt semi-tractors and other equipment.\n

Key Responsibilities:\n

\n
• Perform preventative maintenance and tractor repairs on diesel engines, transmission, fuel systems, electrical systems and air brakes (FHWA inspections)
\n
• Diagnose and troubleshoot heavy-duty truck and tractor issues to OEM and company standards
\n
• Complete work orders within SRT and warranty guidelines
\n
• Follow all shop safety procedures and maintain professional communication
\n
• Participate in OEM training and assist with technician onboarding
\n

Minimum Qualifications:\n

\n
• Candidates must be at least 18 years old
\n
• At least 1-2 years of hands-on mechanic experience servicing semi-trucks or military equivalent
\n
• AC Certification
\n
• At least 1 year in DOT and FHWA inspections and air brake systems
\n
• Able to supply your own basic tools or purchase through J.B. Hunt purchasing program
