Job Summary

A growing U.S. subsidiary of a global Japanese semiconductor packaging manufacturer is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Specialist for a direct hire opportunity in San Jose, CA. This role is ideal for a bilingual English and Japanese supply chain professional who enjoys working across global teams, suppliers, procurement, engineering, operations, and customer-facing groups.

The Supply Chain Planning Specialist will support demand and supply planning, supplier coordination, material availability, risk mitigation, and cross-functional communication between teams in the U.S., Japan, and other global regions. This is a high-visibility role where strong analytical skills, cultural fluency, and business communication will directly support operational performance and customer success.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor supplier performance related to quality, delivery, capacity, lead times, responsiveness, and overall supply continuity.
- Coordinate with suppliers, procurement, planning, operations, engineering, quality, and customer-facing teams to ensure uninterrupted material supply.
- Analyze supply chain risks and develop mitigation, recovery, and contingency plans to support customer requirements and business objectives.
- Serve as a key communication bridge between U.S. and Japan organizations, helping align technical, operational, and business priorities.
- Support supplier audits, business reviews, performance evaluations, supplier qualification, sourcing, and capacity expansion initiatives.
- Drive corrective actions, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement efforts related to quality, delivery, manufacturing processes, and lead-time performance.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $96,700 to $110,800 per year.
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
