Step into a dynamic and rewarding role supporting students across an elementary school district for the full 2026-27 academic year. This contract position offers an engaging itinerant schedule, working 30-32 hours per week during elementary school days. As a Registered Nurse, you'll be the go-to source for health expertise—ensuring the safety and well-being of the district’s youngest learners.

In this role, you’ll have responsibility for all district nursing needs, including meticulous data and record keeping, medication management and administration, as well as diabetic and asthma care. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with educators, students, and families, playing a crucial role in students’ daily lives and overall academic success.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active California State RN license
  • Experience in pediatric nursing
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Reliable transportation for travel within the district

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Manage individual healthcare plans and emergency protocols
  • Administer medications and manage chronic health conditions, such as diabetes and asthma
  • Maintain confidential student health records and document care
  • Provide direct health education to students and staff
  • Liaise closely with faculty, administration, and parents to promote wellness

Hourly compensation is based on experience, ranging from $52 to $60.
