Job Description
Seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Occupational Therapist for a full-time contract opportunity supporting elementary school students during the upcoming school year. This position runs from early September through late June, with workdays scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. You’ll attend a preparatory team meeting on September 2nd, with students beginning on September 3rd.
Your expertise will benefit a diverse caseload of students, providing up to eight therapy sessions per day. The population consists of general education children as well as those requiring Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) interventions. Collaboration is central to this role, as you’ll share a well-equipped therapy space with a Physical Therapist, encouraging a team-based approach to student care.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations strongly preferred
- Ability to provide effective support for both MTSS and general education students
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Organizational skills to manage a full caseload efficiently
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students with a variety of needs, ensuring individualized attention and progress
- Create and implement treatment plans aligned with students’ educational and developmental goals
- Document interventions, progress, and maintain regular communication with educators and families
- Engage fully in multidisciplinary planning—especially within shared therapy environments
- Contribute actively to meetings and school-wide initiatives starting with the academic team meeting on September 2nd
