Travel Hospital Pediatric Pharmacist in Slaton, TX

A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist with hospital and pediatric experience to provide night shift coverage at a children’s hospital. This travel assignment offers a unique environment to apply your skills in pediatric inpatient pharmacy, working with state-of-the-art technology such as EPIC and Pyxis. The position starts ASAP and extends for 6 months, with potential for transition to a day shift role later in the assignment.

Location:

• Slaton, TX

Schedule:

• Night shift: 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• 7 days on, 7 days off
• Potential day shift opportunity later in the year to cover FMLA until 01/13/2027

Responsibilities:

• Dispense and verify medications for pediatric inpatients in a hospital setting
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective pharmaceutical care
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

• Active Texas pharmacist license required
• Prior inpatient pharmacy experience essential
• Pediatric pharmacy experience highly preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
• Familiarity with Pyxis automated medication dispensing systems
