Staff Pharmacist - Retail Pharmacy (13-Week Contract-to-Hire) Bronx, NY
Job Description
We're partnering with a well-established retail pharmacy in the Bronx that is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join their team immediately. The previous pharmacist has recently departed, and the manager is looking to interview and onboard a qualified candidate as quickly as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced retail pharmacists and motivated new graduates looking to gain valuable experience in a supportive environment.
Position Highlights
$65–$70/hour, based on experience
13-week contract with strong potential for permanent hire
No weekends
Consistent 4-day workweek (40 hours)
Retail pharmacy setting
Approximately 200 prescriptions per day
Pharmacy management system: BestRx (training provided)
Supportive team including 3 Pharmacy Technicians, 1 Delivery Driver, and a Store Manager
Responsibilities
Verify and check prescription orders for accuracy
Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
Provide medication counseling and answer patient questions as needed
Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain an efficient workflow
Deliver exceptional patient care and customer service
No immunizations or vaccine administration required.
Qualifications
Active, unrestricted New York Pharmacist License
Must be local to the Bronx or surrounding area
New graduates are welcome to apply
Retail pharmacy experience preferred
BestRx experience is a plus, but training will be provided
