This position, starting as soon as possible and extending through May 2027, offers the chance to foster growth and inclusion in a vibrant school environment near Ringgold, VA.
You’ll work collaboratively with a dynamic team to deliver personalized instruction, design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and engage with families to ensure every child’s success. Caseloads will vary, letting you draw from your expertise to address a range of learning profiles.
Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia Special Education Teacher certification (Adaptive or General Curriculum)
- Experience supporting elementary-aged students (K-5) preferred
- Deep understanding of special education law, accommodations, and modifications
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, positive classroom environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to assigned students, adapting lessons to fit individual needs
- Develop and manage IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Collaborate closely with general educators, administrators, and support professionals
- Communicate effectively with families about student goals and progress
- Maintain accurate records and progress monitoring throughout the assignment
