We are in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic Per Diem (0.0 FTE) Non-Invasive (Non-Interventional) Cardiologist to become part of our team in Muskegon, Michigan. The Cardiovascular Group within our organization is a regional cardiology practice consisting of a 10-physician team located in Muskegon, delivering comprehensive cardiovascular services to the lakeshore and neighboring areas. This group is affiliated with our Cardiology division in West Michigan and is part of the Cardiovascular Network of West Michigan, a collaborative effort between our organization and a leading university health system.

Our Muskegon facility also boasts a robust Cardio-Thoracic program that enhances the Structural Health initiative and a rapidly expanding Electrophysiology service that is actively recruiting and developing.

We advocate for a strong interdisciplinary care model that incorporates Advanced Practice Professionals, Registered Nurses, and Medical Assistants to support our healthcare providers.

Cardiac Health Management Services include:

  • Management of arrhythmias
  • Care for cardiomyopathy
  • Comprehensive consultations, assessments, and personalized treatment plans
  • Congestive Heart Failure Clinic
  • Coumadin testing and education
  • Lipid management
  • Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) management
  • Full-service pacemaker and implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator Clinic with remote monitoring
  • Pre-surgical evaluations
  • Valvular Heart Disease management

Hospital Management Services encompass:

  • Cardiac catheterizations
  • Coronary angioplasty and stenting (PCI)
  • Electrical cardioversions
  • Emergency angioplasty for heart attacks
  • Inpatient consultations
  • Inpatient diagnostic testing
  • Implantation of pacemakers, bi-ventricular pacemakers, internal cardiac defibrillators, and loop recorders
  • Structural heart procedures (ASD, PFO, TAVR)
  • Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)

Qualifications:

  • Physicians: Must be board certified in a relevant clinical area or board eligible, with the expectation to achieve board certification within five years of the start date (unless otherwise required by applicable medical staff bylaws).
  • Possession of an active Michigan medical license (or the ability to obtain one).
  • DEA license required.
  • BLS certification (must be maintained).
