Job Opportunity: Medical Director of Hematology/Oncology

Our organization is on the lookout for an enthusiastic clinician-leader to take on the role of Medical Director for our Hematology/Oncology department. This position involves providing strategic, clinical, and operational guidance for our expanding oncology program.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Service Line Chief, Practice Manager, and Division Director to offer clinical insights and professional expertise in the specialty.
• Report directly to the Service Line Chief while working alongside the administrative Division Director.
• Share joint accountability with the Practice Manager for overseeing both clinical and administrative functions within Hematology/Oncology.
• Ensure high standards of clinical quality, patient safety, and satisfaction.
• Enhance productivity and revenue while managing care performance.
• Participate in recruitment efforts and ensure adequate patient access, program growth, and accreditation.
• Work with the Practice Manager to establish and meet practice performance goals and metrics.
• Provide leadership and support to both clinicians and staff within the practice.
• Act as a liaison among physicians, administration, and system leadership.
• Deliver comprehensive patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Participate in the call rotation, currently set at 1:5.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Hematology and/or Oncology.
• Possession of an unrestricted medical license in Florida (or eligibility for one).
• Eligibility for medical staff privileges at our affiliated hospital.
• A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Hematology/Oncology.
