Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity supporting students across multiple school sites as an itinerant physical therapist. Enjoy the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of K-12 students while working Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. You'll play a vital role in helping students reach their goals throughout the duration of a medical leave, anticipated to last from six to nine months.

In this position, you'll provide physical therapy services to a caseload of 63 students, traveling between sites in Deer River, Coleraine, Nashwauk, Floodwood, Hill City, and Remer. Your expertise will directly support students with needs as identified within their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring compliance and ongoing progress.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Physical Therapist (PT) licensure for practice, or eligibility for licensure
  • Experience working in school settings with K-12 populations
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and legal compliance
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities for managing an itinerant schedule
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and provide direct physical therapy services to K-12 students based on IEP goals
  • Travel between assigned school sites as part of an itinerant schedule
  • Document interventions, progress, and communicate effectively with school teams and parents
  • Participate in IEP meetings as required
  • Collaborate with educators and other special education providers to support student success
