Qualifications & Experience

  • Current certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (RID, NAD, or state equivalent)
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English
  • Previous experience interpreting in educational or school settings
  • Strong understanding of interpreter ethics and confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to support high-school-aged learners across academic and extracurricular activities

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clear and accurate interpretation services between students, staff, and peers in both one-on-one and group settings
  • Facilitate understanding of instructional materials, classroom discussions, assemblies, and school events
