Step into a vital support role assisting school programs with Medi-Cal processing and compliance. This is a full-time contract position running through the end of June, with a start date scheduled for early September following board approval. Use your clerical expertise and familiarity with Medicaid processes to help educators and students receive the resources they need.

Key Qualifications:

  • Previous experience handling Medi-Cal or Medicaid clerical work
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to monitor, track, and verify random time surveys and ensure prompt, accurate submission by school staff
  • Competence in coordinating with special education personnel and other staff to maintain compliance with Medi-Cal processes
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are highly preferred and will benefit daily communication
  • No special licenses or certifications required, but an understanding of Medicaid procedures is essential

Core Responsibilities:

  • Process Medi-Cal requests and maintain accurate records in accordance with district and state guidelines
  • Regularly monitor incoming surveys from Medicaid, ensuring that information is collected on time and meets all requirements
  • Meet monthly with Medi-Cal representatives to review procedures and confirm that all timekeeping is compliant and up-to-date
  • Serve as a communication bridge between Medi-Cal, school staff, and district personnel, offering reminders and support as necessary
  • Consistently organize and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality
