Our organization is on the lookout for Gastroenterology Physicians to join a Hospitalist Model for a new service at our facility in Syracuse, NY.

Position Highlights:

  • Act as a GI Hospitalist, delivering inpatient consultations and conducting procedures.

  • Engage with a comprehensive health system that is part of one of the largest multi-institutional Catholic healthcare networks in the country.

  • Work within a 7 on-7 off schedule.

  • Administration is highly supportive of the growth and vision of the GI department.

  • Access to a vast network of primary care and specialty physicians.

  • Current call responsibilities are limited to one weekend per month; affiliated groups cover evenings and weekends.

  • The hospital typically manages an inpatient volume of 15-20 patients and receives 3-7 new consultations daily.

  • Opportunities for resident education and clinical research are available.

The practice aims to enhance expertise in the following areas:

  • Advanced Endoscopy, including EUS with therapeutics, advanced ERCP techniques, EMR/ESD, and enteroscopy.

  • Inflammatory bowel disease.

  • Hepatology (non-transplant).

  • Esophageal and rectal manometry.

Recruitment Package

Our organization offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, which includes:

  • Sign-on Bonus.

  • The stated salary represents the initial range of total compensation and does not encompass productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, extra shift bonuses, and other applicable cash compensations. Additionally, providers generally receive a CME allowance along with other benefits from their medical group employer. Please be aware that this salary range is provided in compliance with state law and may vary based on the aforementioned factors.

  • CME time and an annual expense allowance of $4,500.
