SSM Health SLUCare Academic is seeking a fellowship-trained Trauma Surgeon to join our growing team at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital, a nationally recognized Level I Trauma Center. This is an outstanding opportunity to practice in a high-acuity academic environment while contributing to the education and training of future surgeons through Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

Responsibilities:

\n
• Provide comprehensive trauma and acute care surgery services at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital (and the VA for applicable split-role positions)
\n
• Participate in trauma call coverage according to the established schedule
\n
• Engage in teaching, mentorship, research, and scholarly activities
\n
• Maintain compliance with risk management, quality assurance, coding, and documentation standards
\n
• Participate in community outreach, education, and program development initiatives
\n

Qualifications:

Education:

\n
• MD or DO degree
\n
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency
\n
• Completion of a Trauma/Critical Care or Surgical Critical Care fellowship
\n

Licensure & Certification:

\n
• Eligible for Missouri medical licensure
\n
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
\n
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Surgical Critical Care
\n

Experience:

\n
• Academic experience preferred
\n
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching, mentorship, and research
\n
