Machine Operator I- 1st Shift
Job Description
We are looking for self-motivated and safety-conscious candidates who would like to join our production team in our Buckeye, AZ location!
\nNew employees can earn 55K in total compensation when working at Canam Steel Corp for a 40-50 hour work week. This includes the base rate, shift differential, overtime, retention and production bonuses.
\nThere are additional ways to earn including referral bonuses and mentoring incentives.
\nPosition is full-time with benefits!
\n1st Shift
\n8 hour shift schedule:
\nMonday - Friday 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
\n9 hour shift schedule:
\nMonday - Thursday Day shift - 5:00 AM - 2:30 AM
\nFriday 5:00 AM - 1:30PM
\nMandatory alternating Saturdays Day shift - 5:00 AM - 1:30PM
\n*Must be able to work all shift schedules
\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
\nOperate machinery according to standard operating procedures.
\nMonitor production output and quality to meet specifications.
\nOperate overhead cranes for efficient material handling.
\nOperate 1 machine (Stud machine, Bridging Stacker, Stacker and Painters).
\nPerform routine maintenance on machines and equipment as required.
\nMaintain a clean and organized work area.
\nAdhere to safety protocols.
\nPerform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
\nRegular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance. Must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or shifts, overtime, weekends as required.
\nREQUIREMENTS:

- Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred. \n
- \n
- Ability to obtain valid crane certification. \n
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Frequent communication with others to exchange information. \n
- \n
- Frequent repetition of motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. \n
- \n
- Frequent moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. \n

- Frequent lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions. \n

- Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. \n

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

- Manufacturing floor with machinery. \n

- Exposure to airborne particles, loud noises, and extreme heat and cold. \n
