Inside Sales Specialist The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for driving new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, lead generation, and customer outreach efforts. This role serves as a key partner to the outside sales team by identifying and qualifying potential customers, nurturing prospects, and generating high-quality sales opportunities within industrial, manufacturing, utility, power generation, and OEM markets. The position combines business development activities with customer support and quotation responsibilities to help grow revenue and strengthen customer relationships. This is a Direct Hire role located in Itasca, IL. Responsibilities

- Conduct outbound prospecting activities through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn, social media, and other sales channels to generate new business opportunities and build a strong sales pipeline.
- Research target accounts, identify key decision-makers, and qualify prospective customers to create warm leads for the outside sales team.
- Re-engage inactive or dormant accounts by identifying new project opportunities and developing customer relationships.
- Partner closely with Business Development Managers to coordinate territory development strategies, transfer qualified leads, and support the sales process through opportunity handoff.
- Maintain accurate customer, prospect, and pipeline information within Salesforce and other internal systems, ensuring all sales activities and communications are properly documented.
- Respond to customer inquiries, provide product information, and serve as a knowledgeable resource for technical and commercial questions.
- Prepare and manage quotations, pricing requests, and proposal support activities while working with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to ensure accurate customer responses.
- Assist with higher-level quoting responsibilities as experience and product knowledge develop.
- Track sales activities, follow up on opportunities, and provide reporting updates to support business development initiatives and territory growth.
- Participate in industry conferences, customer visits, sales meetings, and other commercial events as needed to support relationship-building efforts and market expansion.
- 2+ years of experience in B2B inside sales, business development, lead generation, or customer-facing sales support.
- Proven success with prospecting, cold calling, and developing new business opportunities.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer engagement skills.
- Experience using CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce, and sales prospecting tools.
- Ability to understand technical products, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Self-motivated with a proactive, results-oriented approach and a strong hunter mentality.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience within industrial, manufacturing, engineering, technical products, or related industries is preferred.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits, trade shows, and sales meetings.

- Pay $60k-$70k depending on experience
