Occupational Therapist School Setting in New Castle, DE

Key Qualifications:

• Current and active Occupational Therapist license
• Experience in a school-based environment is preferred
• Proficiency in conducting evaluations as well as delivering direct OT services
• Confident working with both elementary-aged children and early childhood populations
• Committed to an onsite schedule; Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) will not be considered for this position

Responsibilities:

• Provide coverage for a maternity leave at an elementary school, splitting the week with responsibilities at the Early Learning Center
• Carry out comprehensive OT evaluations and deliver individualized and group interventions to meet students' needs
• Support students by developing and implementing effective therapy plans that align with IEP goals and enhance participation in learning activities
• Document sessions, track progress, and maintain communication with educational teams, families, and other service providers
• Follow established protocols and best practices in a collaborative, student-centered environment
• Transition to providing full-time services at the Early Learning Center following the conclusion of the maternity leave

This contract opportunity runs from August 2026 through June 2027, Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
