Travel Hospital Pharmacist | Norfolk, Nebraska

A 13-week opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist on the night shift at a 120-bed Level III trauma center in Norfolk, NE. This travel assignment offers a unique chance to contribute your clinical expertise in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Validate medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety
• Perform kinetic dosing and review medications prior to distribution
• Address nursing staff inquiries regarding medication therapy
• Oversee compounding processes during night hours
• Manage outpatient prescription filling for emergency department patients
• Collaborate closely with a pharmacy technician assigned to the night shift

Schedule:

• 7 days on, 7 days off (Wednesday to Tuesday)
• Shift hours: 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Qualifications:

• Active Nebraska pharmacist license required
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC system is ideal; training provided as needed
• Experience with Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Ability to operate effectively during night shift hours in a trauma center setting
