Job Description
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Histology Technicians to join a busy pathology team supporting hospital operations in Jackson, MS. This role plays a key part in preparing tissue specimens for diagnostic evaluation, ensuring accurate and timely results for patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Process and prepare tissue specimens using histology techniques (grossing, embedding, microtomy, staining)

Perform routine and special stains according to established protocols

Ensure proper labeling, tracking, and documentation of specimens
\n - \n
Maintain quality control and adhere to laboratory safety standards
\n - \n
Collaborate with pathologists and lab team members to support diagnostic needs

Qualifications:

Diploma or degree in histotechnology, clinical laboratory science, or related field
\n - \n
Certification as HT or HTL preferred (or actively working toward certification)
\n - \n
Previous histology experience in a clinical setting strongly preferred
\n - \n
Knowledge of histologic procedures, equipment, and best practices
\n - \n
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks effectively
