Overview

We are looking for a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Hematologist/Oncologist to join us for a full-time locum tenens position in Wisconsin. This ongoing opportunity arises from a long-term physician vacancy and provides a supportive and collaborative practice environment.

Position Highlights
  • Full-time schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

  • Ongoing assignment

  • Inpatient and outpatient care

  • Part of an established multidisciplinary oncology team

  • Utilization of Cerner EMR

  • Temporary privileges can be arranged

Clinical Responsibilities
  • Focus on hematology practice

  • Perform bone marrow biopsies

  • Conduct inpatient and outpatient consultations

  • Manage patients with acute leukemia

  • Oversee chemotherapy treatments

  • Daily rounding duties

  • Participate in call coverage rotation

Support & Resources
  • Collaborative team of physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs)

  • Dedicated nursing staff

  • Nurse navigators available

  • Support from infusion center staff

  • Access to radiation oncology services

Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree

  • Completion of a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified status

  • Current ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications

  • Experience with bone marrow biopsies is essential

  • Preferred strong experience in both inpatient and outpatient hematology

Call Coverage
  • 1:4 call rotation

  • Primarily phone-based call

  • Minimal call-back responsibilities

  • Shared responsibilities between clinic and hospital

Additional Details
  • Estimated credentialing period: 60 days

  • Malpractice coverage is provided

  • Travel and lodging arrangements available per policy

  • Ongoing need with the possibility of a long-term assignment
