Overview
We are looking for a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Hematologist/Oncologist to join us for a full-time locum tenens position in Wisconsin. This ongoing opportunity arises from a long-term physician vacancy and provides a supportive and collaborative practice environment.
Position HighlightsFull-time schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Ongoing assignment
Inpatient and outpatient care
Part of an established multidisciplinary oncology team
Utilization of Cerner EMR
Temporary privileges can be arranged
Focus on hematology practice
Perform bone marrow biopsies
Conduct inpatient and outpatient consultations
Manage patients with acute leukemia
Oversee chemotherapy treatments
Daily rounding duties
Participate in call coverage rotation
Collaborative team of physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs)
Dedicated nursing staff
Nurse navigators available
Support from infusion center staff
Access to radiation oncology services
MD or DO degree
Completion of a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship
Board Eligible or Board Certified status
Current ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications
Experience with bone marrow biopsies is essential
Preferred strong experience in both inpatient and outpatient hematology
1:4 call rotation
Primarily phone-based call
Minimal call-back responsibilities
Shared responsibilities between clinic and hospital
Estimated credentialing period: 60 days
Malpractice coverage is provided
Travel and lodging arrangements available per policy
Ongoing need with the possibility of a long-term assignment
