Make a meaningful impact as an Occupational Therapist serving students from September through June in a collaborative, supportive elementary school environment near Red Hook, NY. This full-time contract opportunity runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, aligning with the school calendar and offering a dynamic and rewarding experience throughout the school year.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy required
  • Current New York State OT licensure
  • Experience working in school settings preferred
  • Familiarity with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) practices
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively with both general education and special needs students
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a shared therapy space

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy services to students, including those in both MTSS and general education
  • Manage a caseload of 8 sessions per day, delivering high-quality, individualized interventions
  • Participate in staff meetings and collaborate with other professionals, including physical therapists, teachers, and support staff
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress and adapt therapy plans as needed
  • Support students in developing skills essential for classroom success and daily living
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment by fostering student engagement and growth
