Job Description
Our client, a leading organization in the industrial maintenance sector, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic III to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic III, you will be part of the Facilities Maintenance Department supporting the HVAC/Refrigeration Group. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintenance, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Liberty, SC
Pay Range: $32.56
Shift: Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM
What's the Job?
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems including ice machines, refrigerators, freezers, and environmental chambers.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC/R equipment such as fans, valves, actuators, and control systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Install, overhaul, and replace mechanical components like bearings, belts, gaskets, and electrical devices using appropriate tools and gauges.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform brazing and soldering, and ensure repairs meet engineering standards.
- Collaborate with team members and lead projects or tasks as assigned, ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained at all times.
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial HVAC/R system maintenance.
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications in HVAC/R preferred.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, and understanding HVAC/R control theory.
- EPA certification for refrigerant handling and disposal is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
