The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston), McGovern Medical School, and the Division of Oncology invite applications for a Medical Oncologist with a focus on Sarcoma. This faculty opportunity offers the ability to shape and grow a sarcoma practice within one of the nation's premier academic medical environments while maintaining a broad general medical oncology practice. The successful candidate will join a collaborative oncology team based at Memorial Hermann Cancer Center and located in the heart of the Texas Medical Center. This position combines patient care, medical education, clinical research, and academic advancement in a highly collegial setting that values innovation, mentorship, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Opportunity Highlights

• Faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

• Develop and expand a growing sarcoma-focused practice, representing approximately 30%-40% of clinical effort initially.
\n
• Maintain a broad general medical oncology practice.
\n
• Collaborate with Memorial Hermann Health System within the nation's largest medical complex.
\n
• Balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
\n
• Participate in medical student, resident, and fellow education.
\n
• Engage in clinical research and academic scholarship.
\n
• Typical schedule includes 2-3 outpatient clinic days and one academic/administrative day per week.
\n
• Shared inpatient and weekend coverage supported by oncology fellows and advanced practice providers.
\n
• Join a multidisciplinary oncology team committed to innovation, clinical trials, and patient-centered care.
