Located near Annapolis, MD, this opportunity is currently in the early stages, awaiting district approval to proceed with contracted placements by the end of the month. Interviews are being scheduled, though hiring decisions will be finalized pending authorization.

Preferred qualifications and experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders
  • Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid state licensure for speech-language pathology
  • Previous experience or clinical practicum in a school-based setting is strongly preferred
  • Comfort working with diverse student populations and collaborating with staff and families
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal communication skills

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to determine students’ speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with school policies
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in group and individual settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and other specialists to support student progress
  • Maintain detailed documentation and prepare progress reports for review
  • Participate in IEP and team meetings, contributing expertise for optimal student outcomes
