Job Description
Step into a vital role supporting K-12 students as a school psychologist in the Lakeville, MN area. This contract position offers the flexibility to work full-time or part-time, with in-person and hybrid opportunities available. Typical working hours are from 8 AM to 4 PM. While specific school assignments are yet to be finalized, you'll collaborate with students, educators, and families district-wide to improve student outcomes and enhance well-being across general and special education populations.
Key Qualifications:
- Education Specialist or Doctoral degree in School Psychology (or equivalent)
- Valid Minnesota school psychologist license issued by PELSB
- Commitment to equity, culturally responsive practices, and inclusive services
- Expertise in evidence-based assessments, interventions, and mental health supports
Preferred Background:
- National School Psychologist Certification (NCSP), or eligibility to obtain it
- Experience providing consultation, problem-solving, and supporting MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support)
- Strong leadership and facilitation abilities, especially with adult learners
- Knowledge in crisis prevention, intervention strategies, and mental health supports
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for working with diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with federal/state special education legislation and compliance
- Successful track record in urban or multicultural educational settings
In this role, you’ll deliver comprehensive psychological services, perform student assessments, facilitate intervention planning, support staff consultation, and participate in crisis response—helping shape a positive, responsive school climate.
