School Occupational Therapist | Saint Joseph, Michigan

Bring your expertise in Occupational Therapy to a dynamic school-based setting, working with K-12 students across Berrien County. This contract opportunity begins August 24, 2026, and offers consistent daytime hours, with assignment locations confirmed as the school year approaches. You’ll be instrumental in supporting students with a range of disabilities, from Autism and cognitive challenges to emotional and learning impairments, helping them succeed within educational environments.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with valid credentials for school-based practice
• Previous experience working in K-12 schools or with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong understanding of disabilities, including Autism, cognitive, emotional, and learning disabilities
• Ability to adapt therapy interventions to meet the needs of a diverse caseload (approximately 55-65 students)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Comfortable traveling between multiple school sites within Berrien County

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy assessments, interventions, and documentation in accordance with IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and special education staff to develop and implement student-centered therapy plans
• Provide direct and consultative OT services for students with varying abilities and needs
• Maintain accurate records and timely progress reports
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
• Travel between schools as part of your daily work, based on caseload assignment
