School Psychologist in Havre De Grace, MD

Key Qualifications:

• Valid MSDE School Psychologist Certification
• Experience with psychoeducational evaluations
• Familiarity working with elementary or middle school populations
• Strong communication and counseling skills
• Comfortable participating in multidisciplinary meetings (MTTS, IEP, 504)
• Ability to manage an active caseload (typically around 70 evaluations plus counseling responsibilities)
• Preference given to professionals available for in-person work

Role Responsibilities:

• Complete comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to support student learning plans
• Provide individual and group counseling services as needed
• Participate actively in MTTS, IEP, and 504 meetings, contributing to intervention and support strategies
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators to develop and implement student interventions
• Maintain thorough records of services provided and outcomes
• Engage with diverse student needs in a flexible, supportive environment

This contract position is set to begin as soon as possible and will run tentatively through June 12, following a Monday to Friday schedule. Hours are 8:15 am to 3:45 pm for elementary settings or 7:30 am to 3:00 pm for secondary. The caseload is variable and responds to referrals; a district-provided laptop ensures you have the necessary technology for the role.
