Opportunity Highlights

  • Become part of a team consisting of 5 Physicians and 3 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
  • Practice setting: 80% inpatient and 20% outpatient
  • On-call rotation of 1:5
  • Daily rounding and consult volume of 12-15 patients
  • Outpatient clinic volume of 12-15 patients, with APP support for follow-ups
  • Access to 24/7 Pulmonary Critical Care and Hospitalist coverage
  • Engagement as Internal Medicine Residency Faculty
  • Established referral network

  • Guaranteed annual salary of $285,261 for the first two years

Our Des Moines facility comprises four hospitals in central and southern Iowa, totaling 875 beds, along with management of 16 rural hospitals. The Des Moines Medical Center is a Level II Trauma center with 550 beds, serving a tertiary area of 1.4 million and hosting one of Iowa's busiest Emergency Departments. We have received the Get With The Guidelines-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award from the American Stroke Association and are the only hospital in Iowa to earn the Gold Seal of Approval and Primary Stroke Center certification from the Joint Commission.
