Medical Assistant
Job Description
We are currently seeking a full-time Technician or Medical Assistant to assist our Providers in our medical office by working up patients, performing diagnostic tests, and documenting results.
This position is an excellent opportunity for a competent and highly-motivated individual to join our growing team. MA's and CNA's encouraged to apply - training provided. Hiring for attitude and passion to learn. Skills can be taught.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Working patients up: Auto-refraction, Lensometry, taking history and chief complaints, vision, confrontations, motilities, pressure, dilating and refraction.
Testing: Photos, Visual Fields and Measurements
Assisting with front office duties which include answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, expediting the check in and checkout process when front desk personnel are busy and occasionally covering lunches.
Contact lens work up and ordering
Surgery scheduling and coordinating
Ordering medical supplies
Stocking and cleaning rooms
Assisting providers with procedures and setting up for procedures Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
One year of experience in health care or customer service setting preferred
Math skills a plus
