Summa Health is seeking an Nurse Practitioner to join a nationally recognized critical care team providing high-quality critical care in a collaborative, supportive environment. This full-time NP role offers significant autonomy, assisting with procedures including intubations, central and arterial line placement, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and lumbar punctures.

\n

The selected provider will become a member of Summa Health Medical Group, a multi-specialty group practice of nearly 700 providers employed by Summa Health. Summa Health - headquartered in Akron, Ohio - is one of the largest integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems in the state. With 2 hospitals and 20+ health centers, Summa Health provides access to care throughout the region.

    Full-time; 12-hour rotating shifts (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM)

    Weekend, holiday, and approximately 20% night shift coverage

    Additional compensation for night shifts

    Primary practice location at Akron City Hospital Main Campus, with night coverage responsibilities at Barberton Campus

Candidate Requirements

  • \n

    Certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (CNP, CNS, or CNM) from an accredited training program

    • \n
  • \n

    New graduates encouraged to apply; prior acute care, ICU, or MICU experience strongly preferred

    • \n
  • \n

    Active Ohio license or eligibility for licensure

    • \n
  • \n

    Current BLS and ACLS certification

    • \n
  • \n

    Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient-centered, team-based care

    • \n
