Retail Pharmacist - Oneonta, New York

A retail pharmacy opportunity is available in Oneonta, NY, seeking a licensed Pharmacist to oversee daily pharmacy operations in a fast-paced environment. This role offers both interim and permanent options, with a comprehensive schedule designed to support patient care and business goals.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Closed Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge, maintaining registration with the state board of pharmacy.
• Ensure pharmacy compliance with all federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
• Manage pharmacy operations including budgeting, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory management to meet financial objectives.
• Lead pharmacy support personnel through performance management and training, ensuring adherence to regulatory and company standards.
• Participate in business development initiatives within the store and community.
• Deliver patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication use, interactions, side effects, and monitor patient progress to optimize therapy.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and pharmacy facilities in compliance with legal and company standards.
• Complete required continuing education and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current NY pharmacist license (required)
• Immunization certification with demonstrated ability to administer all vaccines (required)
• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage pharmacy team and patient interactions
• Commitment to quality improvement and patient safety measures
