Digital Communications Lead / Head of CommunicationsPermanent | Full-Time | Hybrid Purpose led BrandWe're partnering with a purpose-led organisation seeking an exceptional Head of Communications to play a pivotal leadership role within its communications function. Reporting to the Director of Communications, you'll act as their trusted deputy, combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery to shape and execute an ambitious communications agenda. You'll lead the development of the organisation's brand, messaging and digital presence, owning everything from website strategy and audience engagement through to integrated campaigns, content production and communications governance. You'll also play a key role in shaping how AI is adopted within communications, balancing innovation with brand integrity and editorial excellenceKey Responsibilities\n

- Deputise for the Head of Communications, providing senior strategic counsel and leadership \n
- Own the strategic direction of the organisation's website and wider digital channels, driving continual improvement in user experience and performance \n
- Develop and oversee an integrated digital strategy that grows and deepens engagement with priority audience \n
- Personally produce and edit content where needed, including website copy, newsletters, graphics and video, working hands-on alongside directing other \n
- Lead brand governance and continued development of the brand, including safeguarding brand integrity in the age of AI and the rollout of assets and templates across the organisatio \n
- Champion and evolve the organisation's brand, messaging framework, editorial standards and tone of voice \n
- Develop and own my clients audience personas, keeping them current as audiences and priorities evolve \n
- Lead and prioritise the communications team's workload, ensuring effective delivery across multiple projects and stakeholder \n
- Line manage and develop team members, fostering a high-performance culture and embedding best practice \n
- Develop integrated communications strategies that strengthen engagement with key audience \n
- Lead integrated communications campaigns from planning through to evaluatio \n
- Lead and prioritise the communications team's workload, ensuring effective delivery across multiple projects and stakeholder \n
- Use audience insight, analytics and performance data to optimise communications activities \n
- Support the organisation's approach to AI, ensuring responsible adoption while enhancing communications capabilities \n
- Manage agency relationships and ensure communications activity meets relevant regulatory and governance requirements \n

- Significant experience operating as the deputy to a Head or Director of Communications ideally within financial services, investment, regulated environments or purpose-led organisation \n
- Expertise in digital communications strategy, website development and audience engagement \n
- Strong knowledge of digital analytics, SEO and content optimisation \n
- Experience developing brand strategy, messaging frameworks and editorial governance \n
- A strong track record of leading communications teams and managing competing priorities \n
- Hands-on experience creating high-quality content using modern digital platforms and content management system \n
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience advising senior leaders \n
- Strong commercial judgement, emotional intelligence and the ability to influence across an organisation \n
- A collaborative leadership style with a passion for developing people and driving continuous improvements \n
- Knowledge or interest in social impact, sustainability or responsible investments \n
