Junior Buyer

Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement support role, with confident supplier communication and strong Excel skills.A leading family-owned food manufacturer are currently recruiting for a Junior Buyer on a full-time, permanent basis in Swindon, Wiltshire.Role: Junior Buyer Type: Permanent Location: Swindon, Wiltshire (hybrid working pattern - 2/3 days onsite after successful probation) Salary: £28,000Key responsibilities for the Junior Buyer will include and will not be limited to:

• Running MRP reports for raw materials and packaging
\n
• Chasing purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and escalating supply issues where required
\n
• Maintaining supplier relationships and obtaining updated pricing
\n
• Monitoring and responding to the purchasing inbox and day-to-day supply queries
\n
• Keeping purchasing spreadsheets, reports, and system data accurate and up to date
\n
• Supporting tenders and other procurement-related processes as needed
\n

Key skills and experience required for Junior Buyer job applicant and will not be limited to:

\n
• Procurement or purchasing experience, with a proactive and organised approach
\n
• Strong supplier communication skills, including confidence making phone calls
\n
• Solid Excel skills and experience maintaining spreadsheets and purchasing data
\n
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal stock held
\n
• Commercial awareness and a positive, solutions-focused attitude
\n
• Food or FMCG manufacturing experience (nice to have)
\n
