Day Rate: £465.82 (Umbrella Rate Equivalent)

Role Overview

\n

Our client is looking for an experienced Product Coach to support the mobilisation and adoption of a new Product Operating Model and Agile ways of working across multiple cross-functional product teams. Working within a complex transformation programme, the Product Coach will partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, Delivery Leads, Scrum Masters and business stakeholders to embed product-centric delivery, establish consistent ways of working, and accelerate team maturity.

The role will combine hands-on coaching, facilitation, capability building, and delivery assurance to ensure teams successfully transition from traditional project-based delivery to outcome-focused product teams. Expected mobilisation activities include new product team ways of working, Agile ceremonies, backlog management, Epic & feature definition, roadmap support, governance, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement practices.

Key Responsibilities

Product Operating Model Mobilisation

\n
    \n
  • Support the rollout and embedding of the Product Operating Model across multiple product teams.
  • \n
  • Coach teams on product-centric ways of working, accountability, governance, and decision-making.
  • \n
  • Help establish effective product team structures, roles, responsibilities, and team charters.
  • \n
  • Ensure alignment between product teams, programme governance, and enterprise delivery standards.
  • \n
  • Proactively identify and manage cross-cutting challenges with other Product & Agile Coaches.
  • \n
\n

Backlog & Planning Excellence

\n
    \n
  • Coach teams on backlog management, refinement, prioritisation and value-based decision-making.
  • \n
  • Support creation and maintenance of Epics, Features and User Stories.
  • \n
  • Ensure effective use of estimation techniques, planning practices, and capacity management.
  • \n
  • Promote outcome-focused roadmapping and iterative delivery.
  • \n

Tooling & Ways of Working

\n
    \n
  • Support effective adoption of Azure DevOps and associated delivery processes.
  • \n
  • Coach teams on backlog hierarchies, workflow management, reporting, and Agile metrics.
  • \n
  • Promote standardisation of templates, artefacts, and delivery practices across teams.
  • \n
\n

\n

Essential Experience

\n
    \n
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Owner support, Product Coach, Delivery Coach or Transformation Coach.
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of product management, Agile delivery, and organisational change.
  • \n
  • Experience coaching multiple teams simultaneously within complex programmes.
  • \n
  • Strong facilitation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • \n
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar Agile tooling.
  • \n
  • Ability to operate comfortably from leadership level through to delivery teams.
  • \n

Desirable Experience

    \n
  • Experience in Utilities/Electricity industry.
  • \n
  • Experience supporting Product Operating Model transformations.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of SAFe, Lean Portfolio Management, or scaled Agile approaches.
