  • Prepare and review complex UK VAT returns and computations
  • \n
  • Support international VAT compliance requirements and registrations
  • \n
  • Assist with VAT registration applications, options to tax and other HMRC submissions
  • \n
  • Liaise directly with HMRC, external advisers and client finance teams
  • \n
  • Provide practical advice to clients on day-to-day indirect tax matters
  • \n
  • Support the delivery of VAT advisory assignments across a diverse client portfolio
  • \n
  • Work alongside specialists from other tax disciplines on multi-faceted projects
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with professional, ethical and regulatory standards
  • \n
  • Contribute to the development and mentoring of junior team members
  • \n
  • Assist with identifying opportunities to add value and strengthen client relationships
  • \n

Profile

\n
    \n
  • Minimum of 4-5 years' experience within indirect tax, ideally gained in practice
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of UK VAT legislation and compliance requirements
  • \n
  • Previous experience delivering indirect tax advisory work
  • \n
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage directly with clients and stakeholders
  • \n
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • \n
  • Commercially minded with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • \n
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  • \n
  • Good IT proficiency including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • \n
  • Ambitious individual seeking responsibility, technical development and progression
