Overview
\nWe are recruiting for a Temporary Marketing Assistant to support a Government organisation based in Manchester City Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised marketing professional looking for a flexible part-time assignment.
\nThe successful candidate will provide support across a range of marketing activities, with a particular focus on market research surrounding women's health and wider lifestyle-related projects. The role will also involve assisting with the planning and delivery of events and stakeholder engagement activities.
\nFull training will be provided on-site.
\nLocation: Manchester City Centre Duration: Mid-August 2026 to End of November 2026 (Approx.)Hours: 2 Days per Week - (on site) To be agreed at interview - 9am to 1700pm with 45 min lunchPay Rate: £13.50 per hourSector: Government / Public Sector
\nKey Responsibilities

- Conduct market research and gather insights relating to women's health and lifestyle's and other topics \n
- Support the planning, organisation and delivery of events. \n
- Assist with the creation and distribution of marketing materials. \n
- Update and maintain content across digital platforms. \n
- Support social media activity, particularly through LinkedIn. \n
- Create engaging presentations and marketing collateral using Canva and PowerPoint. \n
- Compile reports, research findings and administrative documentation. \n
- Maintain accurate records and databases. \n
- Provide general administrative support to the wider team. \n
Skills and Experience Required
\n- \n
- Previous experience in a marketing, communications or events support role. \n
- Experience supporting the organisation and delivery of events. \n
- Strong research and analytical skills. \n
- Proficient in:\n

- Microsoft Word \n
- Microsoft Excel \n
- Microsoft PowerPoint \n
- Canva \n
\n - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. \n
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. \n
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. \n
Additional Requirements

- A DBS check will be required for this position. \n
- Ability to attend training and work on-site in Manchester City Centre. \n
- Available to commit from mid-August through to the end of November. \n
