Homes for Ukraine Support Officer
\nRate: £13.91 per hourStart Date: 17 August
\nAbout the Role
\nWe are looking for a customer-focused and organised individual to join our Homes for Ukraine (H4U) team. You will act as the first point of contact for sponsors, guests, professionals and members of the public, providing advice, support and signposting through phone and email enquiries.
\nYou will help ensure the effective administration of the Homes for Ukraine scheme by maintaining accurate records, coordinating checks, processing enquiries and supporting vulnerable individuals and families.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Respond to enquiries via telephone, email and correspondence. \n
- Manage shared mailboxes and process requests efficiently. \n
- Maintain accurate records using case management systems and databases. \n
- Input, update and retrieve information relating to Homes for Ukraine activities. \n
- Produce reports and analyse data as required. \n
- Liaise with internal teams and external agencies to obtain information and progress cases. \n
- Support safeguarding, property check and welcome payment processes. \n
- Administer DBS applications through the eBulk system, including document verification. \n
- Provide accurate advice and signposting to service users. \n
- Escalate urgent safeguarding concerns when appropriate. \n
- Prioritise workload effectively and follow established procedures. \n
- Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team. \n
About You
\nEssential Qualifications
\n- \n
- NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service (or equivalent), or \n
- Relevant experience in a customer-facing role. \n
Essential Experience
\n- \n
- Working with customers, including vulnerable individuals. \n
- Communicating with professionals from different agencies. \n
- Handling sensitive and confidential information. \n
- Maintaining accurate records. \n
- Working as part of a team in a busy environment. \n
Essential Knowledge
\n- \n
- Understanding of the Homes for Ukraine Scheme. \n
- Knowledge of safeguarding adults and children. \n
- Understanding of data protection and confidentiality requirements. \n
- Ability to follow policies, procedures and written guidance. \n
Skills

- Strong communication and customer service skills. \n
- Good organisational and administrative ability. \n
- Competent IT skills and experience using databases. \n
- Ability to use initiative and manage competing priorities. \n
