Production Inspector

Our manufacturing Client is seeking an experienced Production Inspector (electronics).The role is offered as a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Quality Manager.

Salary: £26,789.88 pa + OT when required – weekly pay (£13.21 ph)

Location: near Dartford

Hours: 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday

8am to 1pm on Friday

39 hours per week

The Production Inspector role will be responsible for inspecting key component groups before product is released from the production area; ensuring feedback for all non-conforming product is passed to the Production Supervisor and Operators.

Production InspectorSkills/experience required:

\n
• preferred but not essential experience within electronic manufacturing environment – PCBs
\n
• Understanding of IPC-A-610 or qualification preferred.
\n
• Able to identify components including resistor colour codes.
\n
• General standard of education required.
\n

Production InspectorMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

\n
• To perform full visual inspection of key areas in conventional build before release from the area.
\n
• To be aware of company health and safety requirements.
\n
• To understand and implement necessary anti-static precautions.
\n
• To be competent in the use of Inspection tools (magnifiers etc) for PCB manufacturing.
\n
• To understand manufacturing documents and follow specific instructions.
\n
• To understand IPC 610 standards with regard to conventional assembly.
\n
• To highlight any build discrepancies to the Quality Department and Production Supervision.
\n
• To ensure section area is clean, tidy and safe for all staff at all times.
\n
• To carry out First Offs against Product Bill Of Materials and customer specifications.
