Internal Sales Account Manager Ilkeston, Derbyshire (Office-Based)From £32,000 per annumFull-Time PermanentAbout the Role We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Internal Sales Account Manager to join a busy and growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in internal sales, account management, estimating, or customer service within a manufacturing or engineering environment.Reporting to the Lead Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, producing quotations, processing orders, and building long-term customer relationships. This is a fast-paced role where organisation, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential.Key Responsibilities Produce accurate quotations and process customer sales ordersManage a portfolio of existing customer accountsBuild and maintain strong customer relationshipsRead and interpret technical drawings to support quotationsFollow up quotations and record customer feedbackManage customer expectations and provide regular updatesMonitor and prioritise workload to ensure deadlines are metAchieve a minimum target of 8 quotations per dayMaintain quote response times of less than 4 hoursLiaise with internal departments to ensure smooth order fulfilmentSupport continuous improvement initiatives and company standardsAdhere to all Health & Safety and 5S requirementsSkills & Experience Required Previous experience in Internal Sales, Account Management, Estimating, Sales Support or Customer ServiceStrong commercial awareness and customer-focused approachAbility to read and interpret technical or engineering drawings (desirable)Experience working within manufacturing, engineering, fabrication or industrial sectors (preferred)Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systemsExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrong organisational and time management skillsExcellent attention to detailProactive approach to problem-solvingTeam player with a flexible attitudeWhat's on Offer?
