Class 2 DriverLocation: Chepstow, NP16 6UPShift times: Monday - Friday 06:00 - 16:30Pay Rate: £15.65 per hourWe are currently recruiting Class 2 Day Drivers for immediate starts at our client's busy site in Chepstow. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity with a global leader in transport and logistics, offering long-term career prospects for the right candidates.As a Class 2 Driver, you'll be delivering a range of goods including white goods, kitchen units and worktops. You'll typically complete 12-15 drops per day, working alongside a driver's mate for home deliveries where required.ResponsibilitiesSafely operating a Class 2 vehicle in line with company and legal requirements.Completing daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with VOSA regulations.Carrying out both home and kerbside deliveries.Delivering white goods, kitchen units and worktops.Completing approximately 12-15 drops per day.Using handheld scanners and completing delivery paperwork.Providing excellent customer service at every delivery.Working safely as part of a two-person delivery team where applicable.RequirementsValid Class 2 (Category C) licence.Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.Minimum 6 months' Class 2 driving experience.Multidrop delivery experience.No more than 6 penalty points with no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.Good knowledge of the UK road network.Physically fit due to the manual nature of the role.Positive attitude and strong communication skills.Pay, benefits and more:28 days paid holiday (Pro Rata)Access to Manpower Rewards (Discounts on adventure days)Access to the My Path upskilling programmePossible permanent opportunities for the right candidateAbout our clientOur client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from, Drayage, Global freight forwarding & Full truckload transport.
