Manufacturing Engineer - Precision Engineering Location: Leicester (On-Site) Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + benefits Job Type: Permanent | Full TimeManufacturing Engineer | CNC | Precision Engineering | Machine Shop | NPI | Lean Manufacturing A leading precision engineering manufacturer is looking to appoint an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support its machine shop operations in Leicestershire.Manufacturing complex precision-machined components for sectors including aerospace, defence and automotive, the business is investing in continuous improvement, new product introduction and manufacturing excellence. This is an excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys improving machining processes and working closely with production teams.Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement and optimise CNC and manual machining processesDefine tooling, fixtures, routings, work instructions and manufacturing standardsSupport NPI and Design for Manufacture activitiesLead continuous improvement projects focused on quality, productivity, cost and safetyTroubleshoot manufacturing issues and provide technical support to productionSkills & Experience: Min. 5 years experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within a precision machining or machine shop environmentStrong knowledge of CNC machining, turning, milling, grinding and manufacturing processesExperience interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T and tight tolerance componentsUnderstanding of Lean Manufacturing, process improvement and problem solving methodologiesDegree, HND or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Production Engineering preferredWhy Apply?
