CAD DesignerJob SummaryWe are seeking a CAD Designer to produce and manage detailed design drawings and models using SolidWorks, taking ownership of design tasks from concept through to manufacture-ready documentation. This role sits between drafting support and full design engineering, with scope to work more independently and contribute design input, but without commercial or client-facing responsibilities.ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed design drawings, models, and specifications for products and toolingCreate and modify 2D and 3D models for structures, components, and systemsManage drawing catalogues and revisions, ensuring accessibility to engineering and other teamsWork closely with engineers to capture tooling and manufacturing requirementsCreate and maintain plant/facility layout drawingsReview and modify designs to meet quality standards and specificationsIdentify and flag design improvements or issues to senior engineering staffPrepare documentation for project and design reviewsProvide technical input on drawings when queried by internal teamsQualificationsProven proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar with a willingness to learn) and strong CAD skillsSolid understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing techniquesExperience producing manufacture-ready documentation, not just conceptual drawingsExcellent attention to detail and accuracy in design workAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a teamSome prior industry experience preferred (but less than required for a full Design Engineer)TPBN1_UKTJ
