Skilled Butcher - Assistant Manager

We have a wonderful opportunity for an experienced skilled Butcher to join our highly skilled team working in the role of Assistant Shop Manager at our shop located within the wonderful Blue Diamond Melbicks Garden Centre.Working closely with the Shop Manager and the Butchery and Delicatessen team at our well established shop located conveniently between Birmingham and Coventry, you will be fully competent in all aspects of butchery with excellent butchery and display standards, providing premium quality products and service to our valued customers whilst supporting the day to day running of the shop, helping to drive performance and contribute to developing innovative, award winning quality products.This position is full time permanent, working 42.5 hours per week across 5 days on a 7-day rota with flexible days and the opportunity for alternate weekends.Key Requirements: Proven experience as a skilled butcher in a busy retail environmentStrong leadership skills with the ability to support and motivate a teamCommercial awareness and confidence balancing shop performance with customer servicePassion for product development and delivering premium quality produceDrive, enthusiasm and pride in high standards.Walter Smith are nationally recognised for our Supreme Champion Great Taste Awards pork pies, consistently winning regional and national awards with a number of shops located throughout the UK.If you have a minimum 10 years relevant experience and would like to join our team we look forward to hearing from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
