Night Shift 19.00 06.00 (Monday Friday)This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to progress a career in the logistics industry and to work for one of the UKs leading logistics companies who are growing rapidly.My well-established national client has over 40 depots, employs 3000 members of staff, completes 400,000 deliveries per year and owns over 4,000 trucks. Due to expansion and progression, they are seeking an experienced Transport operator to join their team at London Gateway depot.All drivers are permanently employed, a regular and reliable sub-contractor base with a fleet of state-of-the-art vehicles.Duties includeDaily management of the transport plan and ensuring all SLA requirements are adhered toSupporting with planning routes and drivers for up to 30 vehicles dailyCommunication with the local port and booking entry slotsDaily use of companies operating system - TOPSDealing with drivers face to face and over the phoneLiaising with sub-contractorsLiaising with clients to ensure timeddeliveries are metThe ideal candidate will have previous experience in transport operations and planning, use of computerised systems and an excellent geographicalknowledge of the UK.
